Schanzenbräu

Schanzenbräu is a brewery based in Nuremberg whose very first batch was brewed in the basement of a backyard workshop in a street called “Bärenschanzenstrasse” - a fact which explains both the company's name and the logo. Mashing was done in disused laundry cauldrons and the creative minds behind the enterprise decided to use beer barrels, which they simply cut open without further ado, as fermentating vats – along the lines of: “Let's just give it a shot!”. In January 2016 the newly constructed brewery building in Nuremberg-Höfen was completetd and they started brewing their main and specialist beers in their new and modern brewing plant.
