Brauhaus Riegele is a family-owned company located in Augsburg. They were established in 1884, when Sebastian Riegele sen. bought a brewery called “Zum Goldenen Roß” (The Golden Horse) dating back to 1386. In 1911, a new production plant was built outside town together with the so-called “Riegelehaus” at the Königsplatz in Augsburg. Sebastian Priller, one of the company's current shareholders, is a true and devoted beer expert who won the world cup of beer sommeliers in 2011. Riegele is also the producer of another soft drink that is very popular and well-known in Germany and which was launched in 1956 already: A cola-orange soda pop called “Spezi”.
