Kreativbrauerei Kehrwieder

Every citizen of Hamburg knows the folktale of the seafarers to whom the families bade farewell saying "Kehr wieder" (Come back home). The brewers of Kehrwieder also went out into the world and brewed beer in places like the Carribean, South and North America. On the return to their home port in Hamburg, they brought with them the beer varieties they had learned about on their journeys.  One and a half years after the foundation of the company in 2011, Kehrwieder's first beer prototype was brewed, which makes the brewery one of the first generation of creative beer brewers in Germany. The self-made brewhouse in the south of Hamburg is run completely on green energy and brewing is executed as manual work. Every sack of malt is filled into the the mill manually, every steam valve is operated by hand - there is absolutely no automation involved. Every single bottle is passed on by at least seven hands before it is send to the customer.
