Hop Hooligans

The Romanian brewery Hop Hooligans was founded in 2016 by Mircea and Christian in Jilava and is now one of the most recognizable breweries on the local market! At the beginning, Petre Ion was there. Petre was the founder of the first Romanian craft beer bar “Beer O’Clock”, but unfortunately died in a car accident in April 2017. For the boys the world seemed to stand still, but with iron work and an ever-growing fan base they managed to prove themselves on the craft beer market! Specializing in India Pale Ales, the guys are not at all afraid to experiment with ingredients and beer styles and are therefore always ready for a surprise. This makes it one of the most respected breweries in Romania. In order to pass on its know-how to other beer lovers, the Hop Hooligans Brewery joined the Association of Craft Beer Producers in the summer of 2017. An association by breweries for breweries. Five independent breweries support and promote other breweries to make Romanian craft beer even more popular on the regional market. A really beautiful thing! Since 2018, the Hop Hooligans have been the proud owner of a canning plant and are also the first brewery in Romania to own such a facility. And because all that isn't enough, the guys from Hop Hooligans organized the first craft beer festival in Romania in 2019 together with the Romanian brewery Bereta Brewing Co. - the Haze Fest!
