Orca Brau - Guadalupe
Mexican Lager with lime, salt & chili by Orca Brau
Mexico is a magical place with gorgeous beaches, heavenly food, upbeat music, spirited people and a rich culture. Like many of us, the creators of Orca Brau are Mexico fans. In order to pay tribute to the place of longing, Felix and his team have teamed up with their friends from Kraftpaule in Stuttgart. Kraftpaule's boss is Thorsten, husband of a Mexican woman and ardent admirer of the exuberant wealth of their country. Every year Thorsten indulges his passion with a series of events and invites the people of Stuttgart to his Mexican fiestas. From now on he can serve the masterpiece he created together with Orca Brau for these occasions: Guadalupe is a Mexican lager with salt, chili, corn and lime. The holy fourfoldness of Mexican cuisine also works pretty well in beer and creates a refreshing lager with fire, liveliness, a fine mouthfeel and great spiciness.
Incidentally, the label of this fiery beer creation features an illustration of Our Lady of Guadalupe, a miraculous image of Mary and the patron saint of Mexico. According to legend, in Guadalupe, Mexico City, in the Middle Ages, there were apparitions of Our Lady who requested that a chapel be built. Today the church is a place of pilgrimage in honor of this apparition.
