Maisel & Friends Hopfenreiter 2026
Double IPA by Maisel & Friends
It’s back: Hopfenreiter #11
For the eleventh time, we had the pleasure of welcoming fellow breweries to our site to brew our Hopfenreiter together. Year after year, our popular Double IPA is crafted using different hop varieties brought along by our guests. This allows us to create a slightly different flavor profile each time. Yet, one thing always remains the same: a pleasantly robust bitterness and a wonderfully dry mouthfeel. It is the perfect taste experience for anyone who loves IPAs with real character.
Hopfenreiter #11 once again features exciting—and in some cases rare—hop varieties from six breweries:
Maisel & Friends Hopfenreiter #11
Even from a distance, Hopfenreiter #11 releases an intense, tropical aroma in the glass. As with every vintage, the aromas come thick and fast: notes of peach, mango, pineapple, mandarin, starfruit, lime, and grapefruit, alongside a hint of coconut and touches of blueberry and passion fruit. The first sip washes over the taste buds with a multitude of impressions. It delivers a double dose of peach, topped with pineapple, grapefruit, lime, and starfruit. All this is supported by a soft, full-bodied mouthfeel that makes you crave the next sip immediately. The finish brings out additional notes of blueberry, passion fruit, and a hint of pepper. The bitterness is harmonious and perfectly balanced for a Double IPA. Simply delicious!
