Maisel & Friends – Sour Blend – Barrel Aged 2024

The strong beer is amber in color with slight cloudiness. The smell alone immediately brings out the sour beer character. Sour cherry, lemon zest, currant and Boskop apple are the dominant aromas. The whole thing is underlined by notes of plum, caramel and almond. The acidity is also in the foreground in the taste and is harmoniously accompanied by sweet hints. The mouthfeel of the strong beer is quite light and the alcohol is well integrated. The wonderfully dry finish makes you look forward to the next sip.
